Being part of the Cl\u00ednica SOL team means being SOLidarios. For the entire Cl\u00ednica SOL team, being socially responsible involves recognizing and integrating the social concerns of our environment into our management. Therefore, to develop our Corporate Social Responsibility Plan, we continuously analyze the society around us and its needs. For this reason, we will collaborate effectively to improve our surroundings.<\/p>\n

Since 2015, we have developed several programs with the aim of engaging with our environment and contributing to its improvement. In 2018, we took a step further to enhance our social responsibility strategy by joining the United Nations Global Compact.<\/p>\n

We believe in managing our clinic ethically, which is why we base our approach on the 10 Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.<\/a><\/strong> These principles, covering human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption, enjoy universal consensus and guide us in developing our Corporate Social Responsibility policies. While we continue to work internally on responsible and competitive management<\/strong> to strengthen our growth as a business, we were eager to recover and share with you the plans developed for our neighbors, for our community, to make Hu\u00e9rcal Overa and its surroundings a better place.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beca SOL Personas<\/strong> is a scholarship exclusively designed for our neighbors in Hu\u00e9rcal Overa. It has now had four editions, offering dental treatment rehabilitation for individuals with limited access to care, fully covered by Cl\u00ednica Dental SOL.<\/p>\n

The collaboration of the Department of Social Welfare, Training, and Education of the Hu\u00e9rcal-Overa City Council <\/a>in the selection and access to these individuals, along with the care and dedication of our employees and suppliers, is essential to restore the smiles of our neighbors.<\/p>\n

This year, we launched the 5th edition of this scholarship, with the registration period starting on Tuesday, January 17, and remaining open until January 31.<\/p>\n

The procedure to follow will be to submit the application, which can be collected from the Department of Social Welfare, along with a series of required documents. Once all candidates are gathered and after a clinical diagnosis, individuals with the greatest need for treatment will be selected to proceed with their dental rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Beca SOLidaria to ONGs:<\/strong> It consists of a financial donation of \u20ac3,000 to the local association that presents a SOLidario project aimed at improving the life of its community or users.<\/p>\n

Several associations have already benefited from their respective projects:<\/p>\n

First, in 2017: Bookbinding Workshop at the Virgen del R\u00edo Occupational Center.<\/a><\/p>\n

In 2018, the winner was the Family Respite Workshop by ASTEA.<\/a><\/p>\n

Just before the pandemic, in 2019, the winner was the Cognitive Stimulation Workshop at the Virgen del R\u00edo Occupational Center.<\/p>\n

In 2022: Digital Literacy Workshop by the La Esperanza Association for People with Disabilities in Pulp\u00ed.[\/nectar_responsive_text][vc_video link=”https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cFp2QG4bWhI&t=1s” css=””][nectar_responsive_text text_direction=”default”]For this reason, in 2023, we launched another new call for projects, with the submission period opening on February 6 and closing on March 10.<\/p>\n

Beca SOL Sport: <\/strong>Another action within our 2023 social responsibility plans is the Beca SOL Sport. At Cl\u00ednica SOL, we are passionate about sports, which is why we created this scholarship. It consists of a financial donation of \u20ac2,000, fully intended to promote sports and the practice of healthy habits among our neighbors.<\/p>\n

Associations, clubs, federations, institutions, and any entity established as an association will have access to participate in this scholarship to contribute to the improvement of their participants.<\/p>\n

The following year, the winning association was the Alzheimer’s Association. Their Physiotherapy and Gerontogymnastics Workshop for Alzheimer’s patients benefited around 90 people at that time, including both patients and their families.<\/p>\n

III Responsible Hiking Route:<\/strong> We love sports, nature, and sharing good times with friends. This, combined with our commitment to the surrounding environment, inspired us to create the hiking routes. This year, we carried out the third responsible hiking route to clean up one of the trails in Hu\u00e9rcal Overa. All non-profit entities with social projects that are partially or entirely based in Hu\u00e9rcal-Overa and\/or neighboring towns can participate in the scholarship. Associations such as the Virgen del R\u00edo Occupational Center, with their bookbinding workshop <\/a>in the first edition and the cognitive stimulation workshop in the third edition, and ASTEA with their family respite workshop<\/a>, have been the winners of previous editions. We are big fans of sports and healthy lifestyle habits, and therefore, we also want our environment to be healthy and well-maintained.<\/p>\n

For this reason, in 2021, we launched the first responsible hiking route. This activity, known as plogging, <\/em>combines outdoor exercise with waste collection to keep the trails in Hu\u00e9rcal Overa free of litter.<\/p>\n

An activity that was well received, as it gathered around 40 people, and which we repeated in 2022 with the same success.<\/p>\n

In this case, we aim to solve dental health problems for people without resources<\/strong>. For this reason, we launched the 4th Edition of the Beca SOL Personas<\/strong>. With this scholarship, we want to help four people from our municipality who need to smile again and enjoy complete dental health.<\/p>\n

To make this possible, we have the collaboration of the Department of Social Welfare (Social Services). <\/a>They assist us in selecting neighbors whose economic situation prevents them from affording an oral rehabilitation treatment. Once the selection is made, the applicants will undergo a clinical examination that allows us to diagnose each individual’s needs<\/strong>. Together with the report from the Department, we will decide the four beneficiaries of the scholarship.<\/p>\n

If you want to participate, go to the Department of Social Welfare between March 10 and 26 and request the participation form, which you will need to submit filled out with the required documentation right there.<\/p>\n

The Vac Station extraoral dental suction system has been designed to reduce the risk of infection through the transmission of viruses and germs in dental offices. <\/strong>Thanks to the use of Vac Station in our clinic, we prevent the spread of blood, saliva, dust, and other substances during dental treatments.<\/p>\n

With this system, we will suction the aerosols produced when working in the mouth, which remain in the air. This, combined with ventilation, ensures that the air is renewed between patients. In this way, we prevent the risk of environmental contamination.<\/p>\n

Do you know about plogging? <\/strong>It\u2019s a new sports practice, originated in Stockholm<\/strong> (Sweden), that combines physical activity with a love for the environment. It involves running or walking while picking up trash along the way. The term is a fusion of the popular English word ‘running<\/strong>‘ and the Swedish expression ‘plocka upp,<\/strong>‘ which means ‘pick up.’ Ploggers claim that you can burn around 300 calories in 30 minutes<\/strong> of practice since it combines running with squats each time a piece of trash is picked up.<\/p>\n

From Sweden to Hu\u00e9rcal Overa, at Cl\u00ednica SOL, we want to fulfill our commitment to the environment by organizing our first responsible hiking route, or our first plogging <\/em>event.<\/p>\n

It consists of taking a walk along a trail in our municipality with the sole purpose of picking up all the trash we find, leaving our environment clean. This activity is part of the European Week for Waste Reduction<\/a><\/strong>, a European-wide week that encourages all citizens to take part in awareness-raising actions on the sustainable management of resources and waste, taking place from November 20 to 28.<\/p>\n

We are launching the Beca SOL Personas again. A scholarship that directly impacts the oral health of 4 neighbors from Hu\u00e9rcal Overa. With the collaboration of the Town Hall, specifically the Department of Social Welfare, Family, Immigration, and Health, they help us select Hu\u00e9rcal Overa residents whose economic situation prevents them from affording oral rehabilitation treatment. On this day, the team at Cl\u00ednica Dental SOL carried out an action in favor of the environment. Supported by the United Nations Global Compact and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we conducted a tree planting event along the V\u00eda Verde in Hu\u00e9rcal Overa.<\/p>\n

Seniors: This year, in particular, we developed a Hygiene Workshop for caregivers and family members of people suffering from Alzheimer\u2019s. Our professional and social commitment drives us to combine our profession with our dedication to seniors, providing the necessary knowledge and techniques to help take care of the oral health of Alzheimer\u2019s patients, whose dental care is often neglected in favor of other types of attention and due to the memory lapses caused by the disease.
